Women to Inspire Me Celebration Dinner raises over £3000 for local charity

Last night 100 ladies gathered for the first Women to Inspire Me celebration dinner at the Cumberland Hotel, Bournemouth, and collectively raised over £3,167 for Lewis Manning Hospice.

Founded by Donna Kenny and Michelle Bartlett, Women To Inspire Me is a community for women to come together and inspire one another .   Donna, who is  a Clinical Hypnotherapist working in Poole and London,  attended one of Michelle’s Live Laugh Love Ladies Club lunches and approached her with an idea she had.

‘Through my work I meet many amazing strong and courageous women, and the Women to Inspire Me Dinner was a celebration of all women and their amazing qualities.  I wanted to create magic and to inspire and uplift women – a celebration with inspirational guest speakers, to remind us all of the great qualities women have.’

Special guest speakers Anne Bartlett, Julie Creffield and Shann Nix Jones provided the inspiration and entertainment for the evening with their amazing life stories.

Anne Bartlett is a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist and Trainer who runs her own business, creating and delivering training courses and consultancy in the fields of Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Severe Learning Disability. Five years ago she was diagnosed with grade 3 breast cancer which had spread to her lymph nodes. Anne was lucky to be included in a clinical trial for a new drug, and after a harrowing regime of chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy she now values her life and freedom more than ever. Anne uses her very positive outlook on life to get through whatever it throws at her, and greatly values the support she receives from family and friends, and the Lewis Manning Hospice, who she fundraises for.

Julie Creffield is a plus size athlete, author and entrepreneur from Stratford, East London who is on a mission to get 1 million overweight and inactive women running. Her blog The Fat Girls Guide to Running inspires thousands of women from all over the world.

Shann Nix Jones, author of #1 Amazon Best Seller, Secrets from Chuckling Goat: How a Herd of Goats Saved My Family and Started a Business that Became a Natural Health Phenomenon,  is a former American radio talk show host who lived in San Francisco, had a maid to clean her apartment and could hardly boil an egg. She never expected to move to Wales, fall in love with a Welsh goat farmer, and learn to run his self-sustaining goat farm by the sea – but that’s exactly what happened! After discovering how to use raw goats milk to cure her little boy’s asthma and eczema,

Shann found herself fighting to save her husband’s life from a superbug infection, using only natural remedies from the farm.

Event organiser Michelle Bartlett was delighted ete etc ‘Quote here from Michelle re how amazing the evening was.’

Following the success of the evening Donna announced the next Women to Inspire me event – the One Stop Styling Day on 28th February at the Cumberland Hotel.   Gay Richardson of Style Me Confident and Donna Kenny The Hypno-Coach will host a fun and informative day tackling the questions:

Does how you look on the outside a true reflection of how you feel on the inside?

And how many women still lack their true inner confidence?

Their promise is ‘Look good, feel good inside and out!’

Gay will sort out everyday dressing dilemmas and demystify what to wear, while Donna will teach ladies how to enjoy an inner self confidence when they look in the mirror, using the power of the imaginative mind and teaching them how to turn down the voice of their inner critic.

The day includes lunch and all refreshments for just £69 – go to the Women to Inspire Me website to book a space.
